GIP XMAS

a big thank you to all who turned up last night for the xmas dinner! i was really VERY happy to see all of you there...i'm sure the other organisers felt the same way too, plus all of you made the effort to dress accordingly..and even bothered to be part of the gift exchange..! plus, there were 5 bday presents to pay for and still, so many of you turned up...really appreciate it! =)
yay! xmas dinner was a success!! hope all the nov and dec babies enjoyed themselves too..and like the gifts we got for them. also, thanks to yiping, paul, tim, kelly and clarence for getting the presents..
it was a great red/ green night spent with 17 of you..!

i finally finished my 500-pieces jigsaw which clarence gave to me...! amazingly, it took me probably 1 day?? just shows how free i am right...haha..but i love it! i'm gg to frame it up...
met clar later after his work...and he brought me around his area to have dinner take a ride around the place...sounds as though i've nv been to that part of s'pore...haha..
ya, and so we even watched warlords at AMK hub! quite a happening place for a neighbourhood mall i must say...enjoyed tonight ALOT! thanks for staying out till so late even after a day's work...appreciate it!

jinny and superbowl!

met jinny yesterday for brunch at new york new york...at 1130am! hahaha...surprisingly we could meet at such a time..haha..but well, no choice!! cos she had stuff later in the day and she being as busy as ever will be packed for the nx week...haha...so yes, we made it at 1130am! it's like attending 2nd service punctually...woahh..
anyway, we had superbowl...ok in the pics, the bowls don't look v super..haha..but they were quite big for soup la..the bread they served tasted v good...with sunflower seeds in them..not bad!
while slowly enjoying our only dish...haha..we talked alot abt...hm...mainly r/s matters...really interesting to know that girls have many many common thoughts abt such stuff..like, what we can or cannot stand..some things were funny too..haha...
anyway, jinny, i enjoyed talking to you v much too! (over superbowl)...and yes, the water babies thing is still in my head..i don't know why! i just thought that it was funny to know that jelly-like balls are water babies..plus how your tuition kid's sci is so good that he had to apply it to his water babies and KILL them! hahaha....looking forward to our nx chatting session!! yayy!

taiwan/hk

MNG in taiwan...it was so difficult to find a brand that i recognise...and finally in 101 i saw MNG..i had to pose with it..hahawhile lynnie shi wanted CK.....hmm...

after 3 days in taiwan, we flew over to hk...i was really glad to leave taiwan cos i didn't like the place...it was too messy and difficult to shop over there cos firstly, it's all winterwear. plus, the fashion's really different too as we all know..and at the malls, are only the expensive stuff...
hk was much better in terms of shopping! and at least there were rather clean and proper toilets around (they're v impt to me!! haha..in case ya know...) of cos, FOOD WAS GREAT!!!
I had to eat at sweet dynasty once we arrived and checked in.
the top two pics are just a few pics from sweet dynasty...the super yummylicious prawn chee cheong fun and pig's liver congee! the liver's really fresh and not the powdery kind...nice!the bottom pics were taken from a stall at fa yuen street...they sell all the roasted meat...GOOOD! soy sauce chicken rice and the roast goose rice...don't they look super yummy!!
i'm gg to miss all that food...till the nx time i visit hk again =)

haven't updated this blog for soo long!

haha...it was finally 29th nov..had my last paper-UOPS...k , i shan't talk abt it alr...it's so long ago!

haha...anyway, met clar that day to shop for his clothes for his pa this dec...then had outback for dinner...! i love the baked potatoes..! i was craving for that during my exams...hahaha..

had our gip chalet the very nx day...! thanks to aston, for organizing it..and to yiping for preparing all the food =)

after our bbq, we had liangyu(phd in ghost stories) and kelly to bring us to the "haunted" places like the red house and old changi hospital...

it's 26th!

it's 26th of nov! and i'm not done with the exams...=(
2 more to go...

can't wait!!
i'm gg to play and play and play on 29th! (with cockroach clarence hahaha)
30th will be GIP chalet...so exciting! ahaha
and 2nd dec is a day to look forward to...cos i'm attending church with sue and jinny!
then 3rd........off to taiwan! but double c's starting his PA....

excitement awaits me....

he was telling me that life is exciting...he's really different, having grown so much as a christian...when he said exciting, it wasn't abt fun life with all the partying...he was talking abt the christian life, seeing pple come to God and experiencing His love and miracles..
he wasn't like this last time...he's been totally transformed..and i know it.
whenever i talk to him, i feel amazed by how positive he is about everything and his faith in God. there is more to life than just what we face in our daily lives..so why do we worry so much and think that everything we're gg through's so tough. life's not like that...even in church, we're taught that it isn't..we're just too over-occupied with ourselves.

these are such common thoughts, especially when girls group together and start chatting abt such a topic...does it show that we're just trying to find an excuse to leave a person...? maybe...
but it could also be because we try to be in denial...as much as we'd want to be with someone, if things don't work, we'll probably want to think the worst of him so as to feel less hurt...
just girls.....

anyway, i totally like the way she ended her entry...

it's the little words and gestures that makes someone else feel loved and encouragements would really be their pillars of strength.

then was process...

followed by an exchange of words (cos it was a really short conversation)...

i want to have more stuff to do during the hols..
i don't mean studying..
haha...yeah, keep me occupied...
my first week's gone...taiwan + hk...!
the nx few weeks...nothing...

you'll be working..more tired than usual (v tired)..but you'll still try right
and you'll be studying..but we'll meet during your short break
and you'll be playing with your fav phone..i'll hear all your entertaining rubbish..but we'll meet somehow..

you'll somehow be busy..but i think we can still work out our shopping plans..and even chilling-out-at-night plans with the nx you

hmm..so maybe it won't be that bad..
talking abt the hols just makes me feel more excited, i don't know why..
it's not only cos sch term's over but also cos besides the 5 yous at home...all of you are impt to me too =)
